Abstract

We would like to pose some research questions in relation to the Cognitive Internet of Thing (Cog-IoT), which is a special kind of Cyber-Physical systems, and particularly, pertaining to the interaction between human users and cognitive things. Particularly, we are interested in exploring which is the most natural interaction in Cog-IoT? Also, how is this adaptable/personalized to the multifaceted human nature of the user, in terms of accessibility, gender, language, age, capabilities, preferences? We share the opinion that not only human users should adapt to the agent they interact with, but also the agents should adapt to humans and affect human’s adaptation. Another research question is how Cognitive Things should be designed in order to reach a high-quality user experience? How may BCIs affect the interaction between humans and cognitive things? The application domains we are exploring are Digital Twin and Industry 4.0.
