The report describes the procedure for the selection of the topics for the CHIST-ERA Call 2020. On basis of the scores and a workshop discussion the CHIST-ERA steering committee has selected the following two topics:  

• Security and Privacy and Decentralised and Distributed Systems (SPiDDS)
• Machine Learning-based Communication Systems, towards Wireless AI (WAI)
