    Centre for Artificial Intelligence at Zurich University of Applied Sciences

    The NLP research team consists of 8 researchers on all levels and is part of the Centre for AI, which hosts approx. 40 AI researchers and engineers.

    Research topics include:

    - Evaluation of generative models

    - Calibration of machine translation metrics

    - Large-scale data collection for training a Swiss GPT model

    - Simulation of humans in crisis or conflict situations

    - Error-tolerang chatbot systems for language learners

    - Detection and counterspeech for hate speech and misinformation on social media

    - Automatic speech processing for low-ressource languages, in particular Swiss German
