We are a multidisciplinary research group with a long experience in the field of computational intelligence, mainly aimed at applying data analysis, learning, and intelligent decision-making algorithms for solving complex problems. Our research spans many sectors, but is primarily focused on solving problems in industrial and environmental settings. Since its foundation, in 1998, the group has been developing systems for different applications, such as steel and metal sector, photovoltaic or construction among others (more details at https://gipi.grupos.uniovi.es/en/investigacion/proyectos). In close connection to the topic of the call, we have recently carried out work on blockchain applied to the production of steel and the management of pollutant emissions through carbon footprint. We have experience in CHIS-TERA calls as we have participated in a project before: SOON - Social Network of Machines (https://www.chistera.eu/projects/soon).

We are looking to be part of a consortium to set up a proposal on this topic. Although we are open to participation in any field, we believe that SMART Contracts can have very promising applications in the field of sustainability, such as greenhouse gas emissions crediting or renewable energy production. We also consider the application to fields such as public procurement to be of interest.
