I am the lead PI for the Network and IoT data Analytics research group at UCD and a member of the CONNECT Centre for Future Networks and Communications with access to testbed infrastructure of use for the WAI call. Testbeds include the IRIS: Software defined testbed - a managed and configurable radio testbed based on a Software Defined Radio system suitable for deploying and testing Radio Access Network (RAN) and Cognitive Radio Networks design and policy, as well as the Open Ireland testbed - a large multi medium network with radio and fibre interfaces suitable for testing and deploying cloud based solutions including resource optimisation and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) solutions. The Network and IoT Data Analytics research group focus on exploiting in-network data collection and employing ML/AI tools for autonomous network orchestration and optimisation.
