I am an assistant professor in the Computer Engineering Department at TOBB University of Economics and Technology. I received my PhD from Ohio State University in 2015. Before joining TOBB University of Economics and Technology, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at a joint project of Qatar University and University of Texas at Austin between 2015 and 2018. My research interests are broadly natural language processing, information retrieval, and social computing.

My recent works cover i) evaluation and detection of social bots, ii) analyzing social polarization through social media platforms, iii) hate speech detection, iv) fact-checking, v) developing evaluation methods and data resources for AI tasks, and vi) ethics in AI.

Regarding this project call, I am interested in creating/generating reference datasets for artificial intelligence tasks.
