    Bogazici University

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University, Turkey. I lead the requirements engineering group.

My research focuses on applying artificial intelligence methods to increase the efficiency of requirements engineering processes and artifacts. I am interested in developing tools to solve social and technical challenges for various requirements engineering activities. The recent tools developed by my research group include various web-based graphical and textual modeling tools, tools to check the quality of various requirements artifacts, and tools to analyze and prioritize requirements.

I was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, between 2016 and 2018 before joining Boğaziçi University. I got my Ph.D. from the University of Trento, Italy, in 2016 in requirements engineering for socio-technical systems.

My RE4DigiTR (Requirements Engineering for Digital Transformation) project research is funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey between 2020 and 2023. I am one of the program chairs of the AIRE’2020 workshop and serve as the social media chair of RCIS’2020. I regularly serve on the program committee of international conferences such as REFSQ, CAISE, and ER.
