We are specifically interested in the theme of safety and dependability of machine learning systems and would expect to be included as a project partner rather than coordinator. We are currently building up a S&D Lab for ML and are currently focusing on verification sets as our interests do not lie in the interna of ML architectures. We therefore see ourselves as being well positioned to provide the test/verification environment rather than contributing to the ML architectures themselves.

The S&D ML lab is an effort between two institutes, the Institute of Embedded Systems and the Safety Critical Systems group at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Physics. Whilst the Lab is new we have cooperated before on diverse topics such as high-perfromance protection systems for big science and S&D in autonomous drones.
