We are a research group at the Institute of Measurement Science, SAS, http://aiolos.um.savba.sk/~roman/rrLab/index.html

We are focused on BCI post-stroke motor neurorehabilitation. Our approach is intensely focused on individuality and longitudinal training and its effects. We adopted a scheme where we control a subject-specific motor-related narrow-band scalp EEG oscillatory sources. We designed and constructed a robotic splint that serves as a reward controller.  Later we investigated virtual- and mixed-reality concepts and adapted the whole system into these environments.

Our expertise is in carefully understanding the neurophysiology behind the motor imagery and neurorehabilitation process and a plausible merge with the machine learning and AI technologies and methods.

Our past experience with BCI goes back to the pioneered motor imagery and SSVEP BCI concepts developed at the NASA Ames Research Center in the early 2000s.

I will soon be outlining on this website the idea of our own project theme and I will welcome any discussion on the possibility of creating a consortium.

I am also attaching a presentation given at the CHIST-ERA conference last year.
