Expression of Interest
CSEMCSEM is a Swiss RTO. In the context of the call, we propose the development of an EEG/ECG device able to acquire many leads (e.g., 64 to 250) with cooperative sensors. Cooperative sensors are a new way of measuring bio-potentials (and/or bio-impedance) invented and patented by CSEM featuring (dry) active electrodes all connected in a two-wire bus (instead of the star arrangement and shielded cables of classical approaches). This allows a drastic simplification of cabling while keeping signal quality.
For the project, we propose an elastic EEG cap with the two sides conductive as sole connection between the cooperative sensors. In addition to power the sensors, these two conductive layer provide the reference for the measurement potential and the communication of the measured values to the master unit. Moreover, they make an implicit Faraday cage for free.
