The CHIST-ERA Projects Seminar 2023, organised in Bratislava on April 04-05, brings together researchers involved in the ongoing CHIST-ERA funded projects and representatives of the research funding organisations.
Not only the coordinator, all project project participants including post-docs and students are welcome to join.
Objectives:
- Remind the broader CHIST-ERA picture, including the follow-up process and objectives;
- Exchange impressions about funded projects, meet in person and listen to the researchers presenting their projects;
- Strengthen the scientific communities working in the topics of the CHIST-ERA calls and support effort toward new collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
As a further objective, the seminar contributes to the long-term assessment of CHIST-ERA calls and the shaping of CHIST-ERA in the long-run.

The 47 projects that will be represented at this year's seminar belong to 8 past CHIST-ERA call topics:
- Call 2018: Analog Computing for Artificial Intelligence (ACAI) & Smart Distribution of Computing in Dynamic Networks (SDCDN)
- Call 2019: Explainable Machine Learning-based Artificial Intelligence (XAI) & Novel Computational Approaches for Environmental Sustainability (CES)
- Call 2020: Advanced Brain-Computer Interfaces for Novel Interactions (BCI) & Towards Sustainable ICT (S-ICT)
- Call 2021: Nano-Opto-Electro-Mechanical Systems for ICT (NOEMS) & Foundations for Misbehaviour Detection and Mitigation Strategies in Online Social Networks and Media (OSNEM)

The Project Seminar will take place at the Hotel Crowne Plaza, located at Hodžovo námestie 2, Bratislava 816 25, Slovakia.

Poster & demo session
Delegates are encouraged to join the poster and demo session planned on April 4. Poster and demo information will be collected via the registration form. The recommended poster size is A0 paper format. Power supply and desks will be available, but delegates need to bring their own hardware (laptops, data storage, etc.).
Short-video contest
In order to better promote the activities undertaken by its funded project and in line with Responsible Research and Innovation actions, a short-video contest is organized. The rules are explained here. Same also serves for uploading your video. Meanwhile you can check videos of 2022 and 2021.
