The CHIST-ERA Call 2022, to be published in October or November 2022, will target research in the following topics:
Security and Privacy in Decentralised and Distributed Systems (SPiDDS)
Machine Learning-based Communication Systems, towards Wireless AI (WAI)
The details of the research targeted in the call have been defined by the research community during the CHIST-ERA Conference 2022, an event that was open to all interested researchers.
The present Call 2022 Pre-announcement (see attached document below) gives an overview of the research themes that have emerged during the conference.
Researchers are encouraged to start discussing possible projects with prospective partners. The call will require that projects are submitted by international consortia with eligible and independent partners in at least three participating countries. Additional partners from other countries may be part of a consortium if they can secure their own funding.
Note that a one-step submission and evaluation process will be used.
Anticipated call deadline
2 February 2023
Besides, we provide a Partner Search Tool to find partners, by consulting the list of the so-called Expressions of Interest (EoI) and/or by submitting your own EoI.
Moreover, to receive call updates, please subscribe to the CHIST-ERA Call 2022 newsletter by clicking here.
Information webinars will be planned to present the call to potential applicants (the dates will be sooner available).
The call aims to foster good Open Science practices and approaches. An insight into the Open Science framework proposed by CHIST-ERA is provided in the course proposed by the OpenAIRE project and available here.
The list of countries and funding organisations which have shown preliminary interest in participating in the Call 2022 is provided in the table below.
Please note that this pre-announcement is for information purposes only. It does not create any obligation for the CHIST-ERA consortium nor for any of the participating funding organisations. The official Call Announcement, to be published later, shall prevail. The contact point of your funding organisation remains at your disposal for any further information (see contact list below).
